Position Summary As the Studio Manager of SWTHZ Grandview, you will take ownership of the overall performance and day-to-day operation of the studio. You will lead the in-studio team, drive membership and revenue growth, maintain exceptional cleanliness and operational standards, deliver a five-star guest experience, and help grow the SWTHZ wellness community throughout Grandview and Central Ohio. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Studio Manager is expected to be highly visible in the studio, working alongside the team, interacting with members and guests, coaching employees, solving problems, and ensuring the studio consistently operates at a high level. This position requires approximately 40 hours per week in the studio. Your schedule will be developed in partnership with the Regional Manager and will include a combination of mornings, evenings, and either Saturday or Sunday. Scheduling may vary based on staffing needs, training, studio performance, and community events. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced, positive, and highly accountable manager with a strong background in sales, customer service, and team leadership. You know how to motivate and develop employees while also holding people accountable to clear expectations. You are comfortable coaching sales conversations, reviewing performance metrics, solving operational challenges, and stepping in wherever needed to help the studio succeed. Most importantly, you enjoy working with people and understand that great results come from consistently executing the fundamentals: exceptional customer service, a clean and welcoming environment, a strong team culture, and disciplined sales and operational processes. Experience in fitness, wellness, hospitality, membership-based businesses, or premium retail is strongly preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development - 40% Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop high-quality team members. Build and maintain a positive, professional, accountable, and high-performing studio culture. Provide regular coaching, feedback, recognition, and performance management. Ensure team members understand expectations and consistently execute their responsibilities. Conduct ongoing sales, customer service, and operational training. Lead by example through exceptional communication, professionalism, work ethic, and customer service. Create effective team schedules and proactively manage studio staffing and coverage. Partner with the Regional Manager on employee development, performance improvement, and staffing decisions. Sales & Membership Growth - 30% Own studio membership, conversion, retention, and revenue performance. Collaborate with the Regional Manager to develop and execute strategies to achieve studio goals. Coach Sales Associates on discovery, membership recommendations, objection handling, follow-up, and other sales best practices. Review key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure leads, intro guests, former members, and other sales opportunities are consistently followed up with. Create a customer-focused sales culture centered around helping guests find the best wellness solution for their goals. Partner with the Regional Marketing Manager on grassroots marketing, partnerships, events, ambassador relationships, and other local initiatives designed to increase awareness and drive new customers. Operational Excellence & Guest Experience - 30% Ensure the studio operates smoothly, efficiently, and consistently every day. Maintain exceptionally high standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall studio presentation. Ensure all team members consistently follow company policies, procedures, checklists, and operating standards. Oversee scheduling, inventory, supplies, staff assignments, maintenance needs, and daily studio operations. Deliver and coach a five-star guest and member experience. Resolve guest concerns professionally, empathetically, and promptly. Maintain a strong pulse on the studio by proactively identifying problems before they become larger issues. Continuously identify opportunities to improve the employee experience, member experience, sales process, and studio operations. Take ownership of problems and follow through until solutions are implemented. What Success Looks Like A successful Studio Manager builds a studio where: Members consistently receive exceptional service. The studio is exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming. Team members understand expectations and execute them consistently. Employees feel supported, coached, and accountable. Sales processes are followed and membership opportunities are maximized. Studio membership and revenue continue to grow. Problems are identified and solved proactively. The studio develops a strong reputation within the Grandview community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of management or leadership experience preferred. 2+ years of sales, customer service, hospitality, fitness, wellness, or retail experience. Experience managing, coaching, and developing employees. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working with sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain professional under pressure. Comfortable providing direct feedback and holding team members accountable. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Experience with Mindbody or similar scheduling/membership software is a plus.
