Job Description

Overview StarFit Studio is looking for a Studio Manager / Head Trainer who is passionate about coaching, community, and creating an exceptional client experience. This is a hybrid leadership role responsible for both coaching (approximately 15-20 hours per week) and supporting the day-to-day operations of the studio. This person will serve as the standard-bearer for coaching excellence while also acting as a reliable leader who keeps the studio running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to grow into a leadership position within a boutique fitness brand. Duties Sales, Community & Member Experience Lead studio outreach efforts including lead followup and membership sales Conduct consultations and help prospective clients find the right fit for their goals Build strong relationships with members from day one, ensuring every client feels welcomed, supported and connected to the community Own the new client experience, including first visit introductions, check ins, milestone celebrations, and ongoing engagement Support member retention through consistent communication, relationship building, and expectional hospitality Create a positive, inclusive, high energy studio environment that keeps members excited to return Identify opportunities to improve the overall client experience and strengthen studio culture Coaching Train 15-20 hours per week, delivering high-energy, results-driven sessions aligned with the StarFit brand (mix of small group and semi private sessions) Set the standard for coaching quality, energy, and client connection Studio Management Support onboarding and development of new trainers Serve as the go-to person for filling gaps in the coaching schedule, including last-minute call-outs and unexpected changes Maintain flexibility in availability (including early mornings, evenings, and weekends) to support the needs of the business Help ensure all sessions are consistently staffed with high-quality coaches Studio Operations Assist with day-to-day studio operations, including inventory, organization, and cleanliness Help manage promotions, and client communications Respond to client questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner Support local outreach and community-building efforts as needed Additional Responsibilities Assist ownership/management with ongoing projects and studio initiatives Help ensure the studio space and equipment are always clean, organized, and fully functional Provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to coaching staff Lead by example and help elevate the overall performance of the team What We're Looking For Passion for fitness, coaching, and helping people feel their best Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others Reliable, adaptable, and solutions-oriented - especially under pressure Comfortable leading group classes in a high-energy environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team player with a positive, proactive attitude Experience & Qualifications Certified Personal Trainer (or equivalent education) 1-3+ years of group fitness coaching experience preferred Management experience in a boutique fitness environment is a plus CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Comfortable with scheduling tools, basic spreadsheets, and studio systems Schedule & Expectations Full-time role (~40 hours/week including coaching) Approximately 20 coaching hours per week Flexible availability required, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Ability to step in and cover sessions as needed Ability to assist across multiple locations when needed
