Camp Y-Koda is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Program Director to join our team and help create meaningful experiences for children, families, and groups throughout the year. Working alongside the Summer Camp Director, this position plays an important role in the planning and daily operation of Camp Y-Koda. The Assistant Program Director will support summer camp programming, staff training and supervision, youth programs, outdoor education, facility rentals, safety, and day-to-day camp operations . What You'll Do Serve as the lead assistant to the Summer Camp Director. Help plan and facilitate youth programs throughout the year. Support summer camp programming, daily operations, and camper experiences. Help train and support summer camp staff and volunteers. Assist with outdoor education programs. Schedule and facilitate groups at the High Ropes and Challenge Course. Manage camp group facility rentals. Promote and market Camp Y-Koda programs. Help ensure the safety and well-being of campers, staff, volunteers, and participants. Participate in fundraising activities and provide feedback to help strengthen programs. Oversee the camp store, including inventory, budgeting, and planning for future needs. Maintain first aid equipment and supplies and assist with injury management. Maintain lost and found items throughout the year. What We're Looking For College degree in education, recreation, or a related field preferred; significant camp experience may be considered. Previous summer camp or youth program experience. Knowledge of camp activities and camp philosophy. Knowledge of or enthusiasm for nature, environmental education, and outdoor recreation. Strong behavior management and youth supervision skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with children, parents, volunteers, coworkers, and community members. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general technology. Ability to obtain High Ropes & Challenge Course Lead Belay certification. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and Lifeguarding certifications through the American Red Cross. Physical Requirements This is an active position that involves participation in camp programming and outdoor activities.

Candidates must be able to:

Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and on difficult terrain. Lift, push, hold, handle, or drag equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
