The role oversees the Activities Department staff and volunteers, ensuring high-quality programming, regulatory compliance, effective training, and efficient use of resources. This position also builds relationships with residents, families, and community partners while organizing events, outings, and special programs that promote resident engagement and a vibrant community environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage a comprehensive resident activities program that includes recreational, social, religious, and therapeutic activities. Supervise, train, and develop Activities Department staff and volunteers to ensure quality service and regulatory compliance. Organize and promote special events, community partnerships, resident outings, and facility programs that encourage engagement and socialization. Develop monthly activity calendars, budgets, and program plans while managing departmental resources effectively. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and community organizations to support resident satisfaction and well-being. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in recreational programming, activities management, or senior living preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to develop engaging programs that meet the diverse interests and needs of residents. Valid driver's license required; Certified Recreational Therapist (CRT) certification preferred.
