Job Description
Overview Dogwood Golf & Social is a new, 12,000-square-foot premium golf facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, targeting an opening in fall 2026. Dogwood is being built as a serious player-development destination combining advanced technology, professional instruction, custom club fitting, practice, and a welcoming social environment. Target start date is late September 2026, with some flexibility based on the selected candidate's availability. The facility is planned to feature:
- Five public TrackMan simulator bays
- Dedicated teaching and club-fitting bays
- Indoor putting green with PuttView technology
- Indoor short-game area with a real bunker
- Premium golf retail and custom club fitting
- Adult and junior instructional programs
- Membership and public-access options Dogwood is seeking a motivated and experienced Head Golf Professional / Lead Club Fitter to help launch and lead our golf operation.
Experience Required Required:
- Significant experience in golf operations, club fitting, instruction, or a related golf-industry role
- Strong knowledge of golf equipment, ball flight, club specifications, and fitting principles
- Experience using launch-monitor technology, preferably TrackMan
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills
- Ability to lead staff and maintain professional operating standards
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the business
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment
Preferred:
- PGA of America membership or active progress through the PGA Professional Golf Management program
- Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional, Director of Instruction, or senior club fitter
- Manufacturer fitting certifications
- Experience managing golf retail inventory and equipment accounts
- Established relationships within the Little Rock or Arkansas golf community
- Experience developing adult, junior, and member programming Essential Responsibilities Club Fitting and Equipment Sales
- Lead Dogwood's custom club-fitting operation
- Conduct professional fittings using TrackMan and manufacturer fitting systems
- Develop relationships with major equipment manufacturers and sales representatives
- Manage fitting components, demo equipment, special orders, and customer follow-up
- Build a consistent process from initial fitting through delivery and final specification verification
- Generate equipment sales through knowledgeable, service-driven recommendations
- Stay current on equipment technology, product launches, fitting methods, and industry trends Golf Operations
- Help establish operating procedures for Dogwood's golf areas
- Deliver a professional and consistent experience for members and public guests
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising golf operations staff
- Maintain high standards for the simulator bays, fitting bay, practice areas, and retail floor
- Help manage tournaments, leagues, member events, clinics, and corporate golf experiences
- Coordinate with ownership and operations staff on scheduling, programming, and customer service Instruction and Player Development
- Provide private instruction to adults and junior golfers
- Assist in developing clinics, academies, camps, and other player-development programs
- Use TrackMan and other available technology to provide measurable, understandable feedback
- Build long-term relationships with students and fitting clients
- Represent Dogwood as a trusted golf professional throughout the Little Rock golf community Retail
- Help select and merchandise golf equipment, apparel, accessories, and other retail products
- Monitor inventory levels, product performance, and reorder needs
- Train staff on equipment knowledge and retail standards
- Help establish pricing, sales procedures, and inventory controls
