Job Description

Job Overview Join us this summer as a Temporary Lead Teacher for our vibrant camp program! In this energetic role, you will inspire and guide children through engaging activities, fostering a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. As a key leader, you will oversee daily camp operations, support fellow staff members, and ensure every child's experience is memorable and enriching. Your passion for working with children and commitment to their growth will shine through as you lead by example and create a positive community atmosphere. Duties Lead and supervise daily camp activities, ensuring they are fun, educational, and aligned with program goals Manage classroom dynamics through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques Support the development of individualized plans for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges Coordinate with assistant staff to maintain a safe environment, including implementing child safety protocols and first aid procedures Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members while promoting teamwork and communication Assist in planning themed activities, sports coaching sessions, theater performances, or other special events during the camp session Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid readiness and emergency response procedures Qualifications Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring, or summer camps Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus Ability to lead activities involving sports coaching, theater arts, or other creative pursuits is desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate with children, parents, and team members Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging educational activities in a camp environment Embark on an exciting summer journey where your energy makes a difference!
