$24•25/hour Tips About the Role Shortland Golf Club is hiring Cooks and a Lead Cook to support our fast-paced, seasonal kitchen. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a tight menu, and a team-oriented environment . We are hiring at multiple levels . Whether you're a solid line cook or ready to step into a leadership role, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities•Cook Prepare and execute menu items consistently and efficiently Assist with prep, stocking, and kitchen organization Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards Support service during busy periods and events Lead Cook All Cook responsibilities, plus: Oversee daily kitchen operations during shifts Support training and development of kitchen staff Ensure consistency, quality, and ticket flow Assist with ordering, prep planning, and communication with management Schedule & Environment Seasonal role aligned with golf season Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and events Kitchen hours typically range from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM (later for events) Tip Policy (Kitchen) Kitchen staff receive 10% of the general tip pool Tips are distributed based on hours worked during the pay period Provides consistent, supplemental hourly earnings on top of base pay Qualifications Previous kitchen experience preferred (Lead role requires strong experience) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Food handler's card required (or willingness to obtain) ServSafe strongly preferred.
