Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Camp Leader, where your energy and enthusiasm will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. As a Camp Leader, you will oversee daily activities, foster positive interactions, and ensure every camper has an unforgettable experience. Your leadership will help create a fun, inclusive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, creativity, and personal development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement. Responsibilities Lead engaging camp activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and physical activity, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper supervision and behavior management strategies Foster positive relationships with campers through active listening, encouragement, and support Coordinate with fellow staff to plan daily schedules and ensure smooth transitions between activities Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents Support campers with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying appropriate classroom management techniques Promote the values of kindness, respect, and inclusion in all interactions with children and staff Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is a plus Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for working with children with diverse abilities Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage positively with children Ability to lead activities confidently in outdoor or indoor settings while ensuring safety at all times Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through educational play and recreational activities This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to inspire young minds while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, or youth leadership.
