Under general supervision, provides day-to-day support to the Venue Manager and departmentEssential Functions:
Assists the Venue Manager with the planning, coordination, and execution of concerts, private events, and other venue activities. Coordinates with incoming artists, bands, tour managers, promoters, and production teams to ensure all event, production, hospitality, and operational needs are communicated and executed. Supports the overall floor of show, coordinating operations from back of house through front of house, including communication between production, security, food and beverage, box office, facilities, and other departments. Coordinates event logistics, including load-in/load-out, vendors, subcontractors, equipment, building services, inspections, floor plans, electrical orders, fire regulations, and other event requirements. Assists with event documentation, diagrams, insurance, audits, signage, revenue reconciliation, and follow-up items. Assists with invoices, payment processing, purchase requisitions, revenue collection, and coordination with the Finance team as needed. Provides administrative and operational support, manages event-related communication and department calls, and assists with troubleshooting issues before, during, and after events. Convention Center or major hotel experienceKnowledge/Abilities/Skills:
Knowledge of:
Terminology used in the convention, trade show, and entertainment business Audio-video equipment and its uses Set-ups and take-downs Utilities (i.e., special lighting, booth wiring, compressed air, etc.) Computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to: Read, write and speak English Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Be detail oriented Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday Establish and maintain effective working relationships with tenants, employees, and the public Skill to: Operate modern office equipment, including computer, phone, and copy machine Operate a motor vehiclePhysical and Environmental Requirements:
Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 40 lbs. Walking/standing for long distances for more than 70% of workday. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Must be able to pass the background.
