Event Staff Lotus Event Pros Gardena, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Outdoor work experience Interpreting technical drawings Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description General Event Production Staff load, install, operate and strike event equipment across five areas: Dance floor, Pipe & Drape, Staging, Audio Visual Lighting and Special Effects. The role works in the warehouse and on site at venues, delivering safe, clean, on-time setups that match the event plan.

Weddings, Corporate & Private Social Gatherings General duties Pull, prep, count and load equipment from the warehouse using the event pull sheet. Load and unload trucks & vehicle safely; secure cargo for transport. Follow floor plans, production schedules and Crew Lead direction; meet load-in and strike deadlines. Inspect equipment before and after each event; tag and report damaged or missing items. Represent the company professionally with clients, venue staff and other vendors. Required At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a crew under time pressure. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. Able to read and follow floor plans, diagrams and written instructions. Clear communication skills and a professional appearance on site. Reliable transportation to the warehouse and venues. Physical requirements and working conditions Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs with assistance. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and reach overhead for shifts of 8 to 12 hours. Work at heights on ladders and lifts. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, noise levels and lighting conditions. Schedule varies by event and includes evenings, weekends, holidays, early load-ins and late-night strikes. Travel to venues throughout (Los Angeles & Orange County); occasional extended travel may be required to (Santa Barbara County, Inland Empire, San Diego) Wear company uniform including closed-toe or steel-toe footwear and gloves. Preferred 1+ years of experience in event production, AV, staging, rentals, theater or a related trade. Hands-on knowledge of one or more of the five areas; willingness to be trained in the rest. Basic understanding of audio signal flow, DMX lighting control or electrical power distribution. Valid driver's license with a clean record; experience driving box trucks is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
