POSITION SUMMARY
The Event Assistant will assist the Sr. Events Manager and the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing particular tasks throughout the event planning process, while ensuring the successful execution of all events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
(Include but not limited to)
- Establish relationships with both internal and external suppliers and vendors
- Build successful, professional relationships with clients to understand their particular needs and encourage business development when possible
- Assist where required in setting up decorations
- Work with clients to coordinate and deliver bespoke onsite events
- Inform internal teams, clearly and proactively, of event requirements and client preferences
- Keep the database up to date with client information and correspondence so you and others can use it for business intelligence and client management
- Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date filing of all correspondence
- Help communicate all group sales program terms and policies internally to affected departments
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all CVCC offerings
- Proficient and accurate utilization of sales/catering account management systems and reservations systems, Microsoft and Excel office products
- Supports the mission and values of Catta Verdera Country Club, by daily application of selling, planning and relationship skills
- Keep current with all CVCC pricing and strategies
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability
- Work reactive leads to ascertain specific requirements, checking availability of the facilities and processing requests
- Conduct full tours of the facilities for existing and prospective clients
- Provide written quotes and send accurate contracts
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Proven experience in the hospitality/service industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
- Ability to maintain a positive work culture.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Point-of-sales systems.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Polished, professional appearance and presentation.
- Effective communication through all department levels and throughout club.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
