Job Description

Overview The Events Coordinator drives much of DANA's outreach and community impact by planning and implementing DANA's events and initiatives. The Events Coordinator will oversee multiple projects, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure alignment with our mission and goals. This position requires a leader with strong organizational skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for making a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, excels in communication, and has a track record of managing teams and projects. The ideal candidate would have opportunities to advance into senior management within the organization. Responsibilities & Duties Implement events and programs, aid in volunteer recruitment and training, and conduct marketing Manage program budgets and resources Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational goals Monitor and evaluate program performance and outcomes Administer the various events of the DANA Adobe including its annual Gala, Wine Down Wednesdays, Sunday Speakers, and additional events Provide leadership and direction to committees and volunteers Recruit and train new volunteers for the organization Identify and mitigate program risks Facilitate communication among team members and the public Other duties as assigned Events Coordinator Qualifications & Skills An Associate's degree or higher in history, business administration, public administration, or related field preferred Proven track record of successful program implementation preferred Leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Experience in budget management and financial analysis Familiarity with grant writing and funding procurement Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Canva, and Gmail Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference through effective event planning and successful implementation at all age levels.
