SCOPE AND PURPOSE
The Events Manager is responsible for overseeing all front of house banquet and catering operations across the property. This role ensures seamless planning, coordination, and execution of all events while maintaining the highest level of service, operational precision, and guest engagement. The position partners closely with Sales, Culinary, and operational departments to deliver exceptional experiences aligned with El Encanto standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee all on property events from planning through execution and post event follow up
  • Lead daily event operations including setup, service flow, and breakdown ensuring accuracy and readiness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event related front of house execution
  • Ensure all event spaces are prepared to standard in collaboration with Housekeeping and Engineering
  • Maintain strong presence during events to ensure service excellence and immediate issue resolution
  • Partner with Culinary to ensure timing, presentation, and service alignment Event Planning & BEO Management
  • Review, update, and finalize all BEOs with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Lead and facilitate weekly BEO meetings with all relevant departments
  • Communicate all changes, updates, and special requests clearly across teams
  • Ensure all event specifications are executed exactly as outlined in the BEO
  • Conduct pre event meetings and daily briefings with service teams
  • Anticipate operational needs and proactively address potential gaps Guest & Client Engagement
  • Act as on-site host for clients during events ensuring a seamless and elevated experience
  • Build relationships with clients, planners, and repeat business partners
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgency
  • Ensure all events reflect the spirit and service culture of El Encanto Team Management
  • Recruit, train, and supervise banquet and event service staff
  • Develop staffing plans and schedules based on event volume and complexity
  • Lead pre shift meetings and ongoing training to reinforce service standards
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching and development opportunities Financial & Administrative Oversight
  • Forecast event revenue, staffing levels, and labor costs in alignment with budget
  • Manage labor efficiency while maintaining service standards
  • Oversee event billing, reconciliation, and final invoicing accuracy
  • Ensure all charges are properly captured and documented
  • Support Sales and Finance teams with reporting and financial tracking Quality Assurance & Standards
  • Uphold El Encanto service standards across all events
  • Ensure consistency in setup, presentation, and service execution
  • Identify gaps in standards and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols Training & Development
  • Lead onboarding and continuous training for banquet team members
  • Develop service standards specific to events and catering operations
  • Identify opportunities to elevate service and operational efficiency
  • Support leadership in building a high performing events team
