DESCRIPTION
The Specialist, Foundation Scholarship assists in the promotion, application, and stewardship of Foundation scholarships to increase opportunity awareness, ensure timely awarding to students, and increase donor-recipient connections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews, verifies, and completes scholarship award forms for student information, account, and signature for submission to Financial Aid, including coordinating with specific student scholarship groups to receive tuition and book cost information required for award submission. Creates scholarship award certificates and award letters to be presented at graduation ceremonies for high school students and other recipient recognition events. Monitors scholarship award spreadsheet to track scholarship awards for processing invoices and annual patterns/trends. Assists in hosting scholarship workshops/tutorials to guide students through the application process, including the preparation of promotional and social media materials to increase scholarship awareness, and develop content for the Foundation RaiderConnect page and manager membership roster. Receives, researches, and responds to student inquiries received by the Foundation by working with Student Affairs to help resolve issues. Summarize student stories, obtains student information release forms, photos, and messages of gratitude for use in donor relations and scholarship giving pages. Assists in updating Foundation giving pages and provides backup to maintain the Foundation website and social media. Assists in preparation, planning, and implementation of Foundation group projects and events. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution. Two years of professional or volunteer experience in an office or educational environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in data entry and written communications. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word software.

Ability to understand and become proficient in all processes relating to the recording and preparation of Foundation scholarships. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills including telephone and public relations skills. Excellent composition, editing, and proofreading skills.
