Through February/March The Florida Railroad Museum is seeking a dependable, energetic, and flexible Temporary Event Coordinator Assistant to join our team during our busy event season. This is a hands-on position working directly alongside the Event Coordinator to help prepare for, set up, operate, and break down Museum events. Our event season includes several large-scale events, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to jump in where needed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Work directly with the Event Coordinator to prepare for upcoming events Assist with event setup, operation, and breakdown Set up tables, chairs, decorations, signage, supplies, activity areas, and other event equipment Help organize and prepare event materials and supplies Assist with guest areas and event activities during operating hours Help maintain clean, organized, and safe event areas Perform tasks both indoors and outdoors Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and storing event supplies and equipment Provide general support wherever needed before, during, and after events Requirements Must be reliable and punctual Must have a flexible work schedule Must be available to work weekends and some evenings/nights , particularly during major events Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20 pounds Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods Must be able to follow directions and work well as part of a team Must be willing to assist with a variety of tasks as event needs change Strong communication and organizational skills are a plus Schedule This is a temporary seasonal position beginning as soon as possible and is expected to continue through approximately February or March . Hours will vary depending on the Museum's event schedule. Weekend and evening availability is required for certain events. Applicants should understand that some event days may require longer shifts and schedules may vary from week to week. Pay $15.00-$16.00 per hour , depending on experience.
