Job Description

Job Overview We need event staff to help with the Parking and Traffic operations at the Georgia State Fair location. Must include your number to call so we can hire you. Paid by the end of the week. We have 2 shifts available from 6am-1:30pm and 10am-11pm. We are seeking energetic and dedicated Event Staff to bring vibrant energy and exceptional service to a variety of events and venues. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure that every event runs smoothly, safely, and with a memorable experience for all attendees. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and proactive approach will help create unforgettable moments while maintaining high standards of safety and guest satisfaction. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and your positive attitude will shine through in every interaction. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, provide information, and assist with directions to ensure a welcoming atmosphere Support event setup and breakdown, including heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment or supplies Monitor event areas for safety hazards, enforce safety protocols, and respond promptly to incidents or conflicts Manage guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions accurately during events involving food or merchandise sales Assist with crowd control, conflict management, and public speaking duties to maintain order and engagement Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, following established safety procedures to ensure guest well-being Skills Proven experience in events management or hospitality environments with outdoor work experience preferred Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and adherence to health & safety standards Experience working with children or in entertainment settings such as theater is advantageous Retail sales experience along with cash handling skills and familiarity with POS systems Excellent customer service skills combined with public speaking abilities to engage guests confidently Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and outdoor work conditions; basic math skills for transaction processing Join us as an Event Staff member to be part of exciting events that bring people together! Pay:
$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week
