Job Description

The Men's Wrestling Student Worker will support the Iowa Western Men's Wrestling Program through daily operational, maintenance, and event related tasks. This position helps ensure efficient program functioning, assists with team and facility needs, and contributes to a positive experience for student athletes, staff, and community members.
  • Assist with setup and takedown of wrestling practice, matches, and events
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of wrestling facilities and equipment
  • Distribute and collect team gear, uniforms, and equipment
  • Greet and assist visitors, recruits, and community members attending program functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or program staff
  • Must be a current Iowa Western Community College student eligible for Federal Work Study
  • Must be a current member of the Iowa Western Men's Wrestling Team
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for practices, meets, and events Stand, walk, and move for extended periods during practices, matches, and events Lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as wrestling mats, equipment, and gear Bend, kneel, and reach to set up and take down facilities and equipment Maintain stamina and focus during extended periods of event preparation and execution
