In this role, you'll guide clients through the event-planning process, from their first inquiry to the final follow-up. You'll help prospective clients discover what makes The Osprey special, build relationships with event professionals and community partners, and support the successful execution of weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, private dinners, pop-ups, and other special events. You'll be a welcoming point of contact for clients, a thoughtful partner throughout the planning process, and a steady presence on-site when events take place. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, staying organized, solving problems, and helping create memorable experiences. While sales experience is valuable, we're especially interested in someone who brings warmth, initiative, good judgment, and a genuine enthusiasm.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support Venue Sales:
  • Guide clients through the event sales process, from initial inquiry and venue tours to proposals, contracts, deposits, event execution, and follow-up.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly, professionally, and warmly.
  • Conduct venue tours and help clients envision their event at The Osprey.
  • Create thoughtful proposals and event packages that reflect each client's needs and vision.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and follow up consistently with prospective clients.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance the client experience through food and beverage offerings, additional services, and thoughtful event details.
  • Track leads, bookings, revenue, and other important sales information.
Build Meaningful Relationships:
  • Develop positive relationships with wedding planners, corporate event professionals, photographers, florists, caterers, vendors, community organizations, and other local partners.
  • Represent The Osprey at networking events, wedding expos, planner gatherings, community events, and other opportunities.
  • Help create referral relationships that introduce new clients to The Osprey.
  • Stay connected with past clients and encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Become a friendly and trusted representative of The Osprey throughout the Quad Cities. Help Bring Events to Life
  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision, answer questions, and help them feel confident throughout the planning process.
  • Collaborate with culinary, beverage, operations, and event teams to prepare for each event.
  • Support day-of event execution, depending on the needs of the event.
  • Help manage timelines, vendors, client requests, and event details.
  • Stay calm, flexible, and solutions-oriented when plans change or unexpected needs arise.
  • Help ensure that the experience delivered on event day reflects the care and attention promised during the sales process.
Represent the

  • Serve as a welcoming, professional point of contact for clients, guests, and community partners.
  • Help shape how The Osprey is presented through sales materials, email, social media, community outreach, and in-person experiences.
  • Bring warmth, professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail to every interaction.
  • Help ensure that every touchpoint — from the first email to the final farewell — feels consistent.
WHO YOU ARE
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a positive experience. You may have experience in venue sales, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, catering, weddings, event production, customer service, or another relationship-focused role. We're also open to candidates whose experience comes from a different background but who bring strong communication skills, initiative, and a genuine interest in events and hospitality.

  • The Osprey becomes known as the "must book" events venue in the Quad Cities.
