Full-time, including Fridays and Saturdays Overview The Event Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless, positive client experience by executing flawless events from start to finish at Pear Tree Estate. This role requires exceptional organization, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise. The Event Manager will work cross-functionally across Pear Tree Estate and L.A. Gourmet Catering, supporting event strategy, operational execution, and the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, driven, detail-oriented, and committed to providing top-tier service. Leadership skills, initiative, and a warm, professional personality are essential. Primary Duties Event Execution Confirm and prepare room setup for each event based on client proposals Anticipate needs, resolve last-minute changes, and assist with setup and rearranging Oversee, schedule, and manage the Reset Crew Support setup and execution of events as contracted Attend weekly staff meetings Assist with food service, bar service, guest flow, and any hands-on tasks required for event success Wrap up events: collect and organize tips, cash drawers, timesheets; ensure all items are secured and locked Supervise cleanup and room reset to maximize productivity and labor efficiency Submit PTE billing information to LA office staff the next business day Bar Operations Manage bar inventory and ordering Organize bar signage, cash drawers, and tip processes Ensure bar is properly stocked and prepared for each event Staff Leadership Train new employees Lead new-staff training and server reviews Provide ongoing on-site training and coaching Manage staff to ensure timelines are followed and event standards are upheld Support staff in all event-day roles, stepping in wherever needed Client Experience Serve as point of contact for clients on event day from arrival to departure Ensure all details align with the proposal and executed plan Provide warm, attentive service to guarantee a successful and memorable event Vendor Coordination Build and maintain strong vendor relationships Help track sourced items and keep PTE inventory at efficient levels Oversee vendor arrival, placement, and timeline adherence Facility Operations Pear Tree Estate Prepare spaces for daily meetings, tours, and event prep Assist with basic building upkeep, organization, and light cleaning Manage dry cleaning pickups, drop-offs, and inventory Concorde Room Prepare the space for tours, meetings, and guest check-ins Maintain inventory and restock before each rental Manage Concorde Room staff and cleaning tasks Oversee dry cleaning and guest-turnover needs Outdoor Areas While mowing, snow removal, and landscaping are handled by contractors, the Event Manager may address small immediate tasks—such as picking up debris or salting walkways —to maintain a pristine guest experience. At Pear Tree, the only people who shouldn't lift a finger are the clients.
