JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Business Development & Revenue Generation Develop and execute an effective sales plan to increase private dining, catering, and event revenue across both hotels and Seville Chicago.
  • Proactively generate new business through prospecting, networking, cold calls, community involvement, referrals, email campaigns, and sales appointments.
  • Establish relationships with local corporations, event planners, nonprofit organizations, universities, professional associations, and social groups.
  • Identify opportunities to convert transient guests, group guests, meeting attendees, and hotel clients into restaurant private dining and catering customers.
  • Create and implement strategies to capture special events, celebrations, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions, corporate dinners, networking events, and social gatherings.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established revenue, booking, and activity goals. Sales & Client Management Respond promptly and professionally to leads, requests for proposals, and client inquiries.
  • Conduct property tours and showcase event spaces, private dining options including both Seville and hotel facilities.
  • Prepare customized proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and pricing packages.
  • Negotiate contracts and event agreements in accordance with company standards and profitability goals.

Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, sales efforts, client communications, and bookings within CRM and sales systems. Marketing & Community Engagement Represent the hotels and restaurant at networking events, trade shows, community organizations, and industry functions to increase awareness and generate new business opportunities.

Collaborate with hotel, restaurant, and marketing teams to develop programs and promotions that drive private dining and catering revenue.

Assist with the development and execution of quarterly and annual sales and marketing initiatives.

Partner with operational leaders to create unique event experiences and seasonal offerings that support business objectives.

Monitor local market conditions and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and increased market share.

Maintain visibility within the local business community while fostering relationships that strengthen the property's presence in the market

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

Minimum of three (3) years in hotel or conference Catering/Sales

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Excellent listening and problem-solving skills

Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members

Negotiating Skills

Strong computer skills

Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
