Information about the Westmont Chamber of Commerce can be found at: www.westmontchamber.com Chamber of Commerce Administrator & Events Manager Job Description The Chamber is looking for someone who is personable, professional, organized, energetic, and customer focused, to support the daily operations of the Chamber while leading key membership events and taking on new initiatives. Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for Chamber members, prospective members, community partners, vendors and the public, providing professional, welcoming and timely communication.
- Plan, coordinate, promote and market Chamber events and projects through completion including logistics, venue coordination, vendor communication and negotiation, catering arrangements, registrations, sponsorship support and the day of event operations.
- Maintain membership-related budgets, tracking expenses, preparing reports, bookkeeping, accounts receivables and invoicing, assist accountant in preparing monthly board financial reports.
- Assist with event marketing and membership communications including promotional materials, assisting with the design and creation of flyers, brochures, and cable TV slides.
- Write and design weekly newsletter and community email blasts and write press releases
- Take photos and videos to promote Chamber events and members to be used for marketing material and to post on Chamber social media accounts
- Attend monthly board meetings, record meeting notes and prepare financial reports for review by the board.
- Perform Chamber office functions which include front desk coverage, membership support, phone and email inquiries, day to day office and supply needs
- Create and update web pages using Webmaster or similar sites
- Attend Chamber events to support smooth operations, addressing attendee needs, creating a welcoming environment and representing the Chamber professionally at all events.
- Assist the President and Membership Director with daily, weekly and monthly tasks and other duties as assigned Pay is dependent on qualifications and begins at $25/hour.
Required Skills:
Microsoft Office
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks Desirable Skills :
- Experience with the following sites: Canva, Constant Contact, Chamber Mate software, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and QuickBooks Intuit.
- Experience working with nonprofit, association, chamber, or community organizations preferred.
- Flexibility to attend occasional early morning and evening and events is required.
