Job Summary The Office of Student Life is seeking an enthusiastic student to play an essential role in the successful execution of campus events and activities. This position provides hands-on support with event preparation, coordination, and post-event breakdown to create engaging experiences for the campus community. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team-oriented, dynamic environment. This position may need to travel to the Westville Campus occasionally.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture, staging, decorations, and technical equipment. Provide on-site support during events by managing check-ins, distributing materials, answering attendee questions, and troubleshooting issues. Serve as a representative of the Office of Student Life, ensuring events reflect a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate with the event planning team to ensure events run smoothly and adhere to timelines. Monitor event spaces for cleanliness, safety, and organization during and after events. Assist with promoting events by distributing marketing materials and providing outreach to students. Coordinate with campus partners and vendors to facilitate event needs as directed. Act as a point of contact for student attendees, answering questions and providing direction when needed. Maintain a professional demeanor and handle unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently. Professional Development and Trainings will be provided for the position. Education Must be a PNW Student Experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends occasionally. Ability to follow instructions. Physical ability to lift, move, and arrange event equipment (up to 25 lbs.). Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances during events.
