The Haven Properties is seeking enthusiastic Event Staff to join our team! Our Event Staff play an essential role in bringing our clients' most important moments to life. From weddings and celebrations to special events, you'll help create a seamless, memorable experience from start to finish. In this role, you'll assist with event preparation and execution, provide beverage service, support our guests throughout the event, and help ensure every detail is exactly where it needs to be! To view our locations please follow the link below: https://www.thehaveneventspace.com/ourproperties Job Responsibilities Provide a kind, energetic, & fun personality while maintaining professionalism Be well-versed in the products to display professionalism to guests Prep the bar and/or mobile bar for an event including garnish prep, stocking, & setup Serve wine, beer, cocktails, & soda to guests and prep champagne toasts Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipe Communicate effectively, clearly, patiently, and humorously with co-workers and guests Check guest IDs to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption Monitor guest consumption and limit guests who are becoming overly intoxicated Accurately track quantities of bottles used for restocking purposes Complete all side work and cleanup as assigned Assist with the setup and tear down of both indoor and outdoor events General event management including trash, bathroom restocking, assisting guests and other staff, etc Follow the instruction of the event manager and assist in ensure a seamless event for our clients Cleanup after the event concludes and resetting the building for events the next day
Job Skills & Qualifications Required :
Must be 21 years or older to mix & serve drinks according to Kansas state liquor laws. (We are also hiring individuals who are under the age of 21). No felonies, DUIs, or minor alcohol violations in the last 5 years according to Kansas state liquor laws At least 1-2 years of experience bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, preparation methods, and garnishes. Ability to work evenings and weekends during our scheduled events Ability to work independently and think on your feet Ability to lift cases of beer, wine, ice, and other heavy items and be on your feet for extended periods Able to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff and guests of the venue Honesty, integrity, personal responsibility & extreme attention to detail in all areas
Preferred :
Experience bartending high volume weddings or corporate events Formal bartending training or education Bilingual language skills
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 23.0 per week
