This role is essential to e's Club Lexington program and our community - connecting our members, staff, and volunteers - and continues the standard of compassion, acceptance, and safety that EHFF KY intends for our community to feel at our events. This position requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail, alongside an ability to prioritize essential job duties and manage time effectively. Availability EHFF KY hosts e's Club Lexington, which provides social events for neurodivergent individuals throughout the weekends. Our club events take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Program Assistants must:
- Provide EHFF KY with adequate availability for scheduling each month.
- Work at least two (2) Friday evening events each month.
- Work at least three (3) additional events each month.
From time to time, additional work shifts or staff meetings may be available Monday - Thursday. However, the Program Assistant role will primarily take place Friday - Sunday at e's Club Lexington. Essential Job Duties Host programming for e's Club Lexington events as scheduled, in accordance with the EHFF Operations Manual. Ensure planned activities for e's Club Lexington gatherings are present and instruct volunteers for implementing them. Open and close the club as indicated in the event protocols. Complete the required volunteer training and member updates and alerts prior to the start of each event. Log cash, checks, and donations received at e's Club Lexington. Ensure that the e's Club Lexington location is clean and professional. Declutter items as needed; enlist volunteers to straighten and tidy areas that need attention. Complete incident reports as needed. Welcome attendees, interact with participants, and model the mission of Erin's Hope For Friends Kentucky at e's Club Lexington events. Follow guidelines on staff and volunteer ratios for each event. Assist members with creating and sending thank you cards for donated club items. Attend staff meetings as needed. Ensure e's Club Lexington events and activities comply with internal policies and guidelines. Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Program Director or Executive Director. Qualifications Passion for working with neurodivergent individuals in a neuro-supportive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide, accept, and apply constructive feedback and to develop skill sets accordingly. Ability to participate in a team fairly, effectively, and in accordance with Erin's Hope For Friends Kentucky's policies and guidelines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize essential job duties and manage time effectively while 1) adapting to changes in company needs and 2) problem-solving urgent situations. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with participants, co-workers, supervisors and community members. Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, technology, and best practices in order to perform job responsibilities to the required standards. - Program Assistants must be CPR-certified through a course that is OSHA-compliant.
If employees are not CPR-certified, EHFF KY will cover the cost of their enrollment in an applicable course through the American Red Cross or similar agency. Physical Requirements Occasional ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20lbs. Regular ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10lbs. Regular ability to use a computer or iPad. Capability to stoop, kneel, reach, crouch, or crawl to perform essential job duties. Ability to observe details at close range. Ability to sit for extended periods.
