Seasons Catering Compensation:
Base salary plus a generous commission structure Job Summary The Moore is seeking an energetic, organized, and results-driven In-House Sales & Events Manager to grow event bookings and guide clients from their first inquiry through a memorable celebration. As an all-inclusive venue in the Greater New Orleans area, The Moore hosts weddings, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations with food and hospitality by 12 Seasons Catering. We are looking for someone who can confidently showcase our venue, communicate the value of our packages, and turn prospective clients into confirmed bookings. This is a goal-oriented position for a motivated self-starter who takes ownership of sales results. Success requires initiative, consistent follow-up, strong closing skills, and the ability to manage priorities independently. Compensation combines a base salary with generous commission opportunities, directly rewarding successful event sales.
Responsibilities Drive event sales:
Meet established booking and revenue goals by converting inquiries into confirmed events and proactively developing new business.
Respond and follow through:
Manage phone, email, website, and social media inquiries promptly, maintaining consistent follow-up throughout the sales process.
Conduct personalized venue tours:
Showcase The Moore's event spaces and explain how our catering, bar service, floral offerings, and available enhancements fit each client's vision.
Understand client needs:
Ask thoughtful questions about event type, guest count, budget, preferences, and timing to recommend appropriate packages.
Prepare proposals and secure bookings:
Create accurate proposals and agreements, address objections professionally, and guide clients through contracts and required deposits within company policies.
Grow event value:
Recommend suitable upgrades and additional services while respecting client budgets and maintaining approved pricing.
Coordinate event details:
Maintain accurate timelines, menus, layouts, guest counts, and special requests, communicating confirmed details to the culinary and operations teams.
Support event execution:
Serve as a dependable client contact and coordinate with event staff to help ensure that commitments made during the sales process are delivered.
Maintain organized records:
Keep the CRM and event management system current with client communications, next steps, booking status, and deadlines.
Build community relationships:
Develop connections with wedding planners, vendors, businesses, and referral partners to generate repeat and new business.
Support marketing efforts:
Create and coordinate social media content, highlight venue offerings, and participate in open houses, networking opportunities, and promotional events.
Track performance:
Monitor inquiries, tours, proposals, bookings, and revenue to identify opportunities and improve sales results. Qualifications Previous experience in venue sales, wedding sales, catering, hospitality, or event management preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, handle objections, close sales, and work toward measurable goals. A proactive, self-directed approach with strong accountability and follow-through. Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills. Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines. Comfort using CRM or event management software, digital tools, and social media platforms. Sound judgment when discussing pricing, client expectations, and commitments requiring management approval. A collaborative approach to working with culinary, service, and operations teams. Availability for evening and weekend tours, appointments, and events as needed.
