Mon Sep 21 2026 The Facilities Operations Support position supports the daily operations of campus by providing essential logistical support for event setup, campus activities, and mailroom operations. The ideal candidate is proactive and dependable, able to work both independently and collaboratively. A primary responsibility of this role is coordinating the movement and delivery of furniture, equipment, packages, and mail across campus, while supporting event setup and other campus activities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position starting at $22.00-$23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The College also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and generous paid time off.

Position responsibilities include:

Provide setup, breakdown, and logistical support for internal and external events. Provide mailroom support, including package delivery, post office pickups, package scanning, and mail distribution to students and campus offices. Receive, document, and inventory deliveries for campus departments, as needed. Operate laundry equipment to clean and prepare table coverings and linens for campus events. Assemble office furniture and chairs, as requested. Manage the inventory, condition, delivery, and relocation of furniture and equipment; perform routine maintenance and report damaged or malfunctioning items to Facilities Management. Support additional Facilities-related tasks and special projects, as assigned or required.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Ability to kneel, bend, and safely lift or move furniture and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Valid Massachusetts driver's license required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to support campus events, programs, and daily operations. Work hours may be adjusted as needed to support special events and programs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to follow through and complete tasks efficiently. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and effective verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, basic Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
