Events Manager -
Higher Education Job Description:
General event management and coordination supporting a higher education institution, including: Supporting the planning and implementation of university events across campus. Overseeing and supporting student-related events for clubs and organizations throughout the academic year. Supporting high-priority institutional events for the campus community. Collaborating with university departments and operations teams to coordinate campus-wide events. Managing event logistics and providing guidance and consultation on event planning best practices. Supporting major annual events such as Orientation, Alumni Family Weekend, Admitted Students Day, Commencement, Presidential events, and other institutional programs. Maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail while managing multiple events and priorities. Using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, shared documents, and event scheduling systems to coordinate event-related information and logistics. Working collaboratively with a team of Event Managers while maintaining responsibility for a specialized portfolio of events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 2-3 years of related experience preferred; experience coordinating events, programs, or similar activities is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with a diplomatic and collaborative approach. Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as shared documents and Google Workspace applications. Ability to guide and consult with stakeholders on event planning best practices. Experience with 25Live or a similar event reservation/scheduling system is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred.
Pay Rate:
Up to $26.00 per hour depending on experience #INDPROF #ZRPROF
