coverage needed between 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, 18.5 hours/week

September 2026 Event Staff Roxbury Community College & Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center (RLTAC) Join the team that brings campus and community events to life. Event Staff support Roxbury Community College and the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center (RLTAC) across a wide range of internal college events and external rentals - meetings, fundraisers, concerts, vendor fairs, theatre performances, and sporting events. We're looking for people with strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a sharp eye for detail, who can bring professionalism to a fast-paced, hands-on environment. What You'll Do Set up and break down events - from athletic competitions at the RLTAC (hurdles, long jump pit raking) to arranging tables and chairs per floor plans, hanging signage, and preparing dressing/green rooms to client specifications Clean up and break down materials and equipment once an event concludes Provide crowd control coverage during larger events Monitor access to events assigned Support building operations as needed, including administrative tasks, check-in desk coverage, weight room coverage, and membership services Report any logistical issues to the onsite events supervisor Follow all policies and procedures set by Roxbury Community College and the RLTAC Take on other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Job Requirements:
What You Will Need Must be 18 or older Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Availability for nights and weekends Composure under pressure Excellent customer service skills Ability to lift 50 pounds Nice to Have High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of related event staff experience Multilingual ability
