Job Description

Rouge Fine Catering, a leading Baltimore area catering company, is seeking an experienced, professional, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Event Manager to execute event, with an emphasis on weekends. This position is ideal for someone with experience in catering, hospitality, restaurants, event management, or fine dining who enjoys the energy of live events and takes pride in making sure every detail comes together perfectly. Unlike a traditional catering management position, this role is primarily focused on onsite event execution. You will be the Rouge representative responsible for managing the event from setup through breakdown and ensuring that our clients, guests, vendors, and staff receive the level of service Rouge is known for.
Responsibilities Include:
Serving as the onsite Rouge Event Manager for weddings, galas, corporate events, private parties, and other high-end functions Leading and managing Rouge event staff throughout the event Overseeing setup, service, food presentation, timing, and breakdown Managing the event timeline and making sure the event runs according to plan Communicating professionally with clients, venue representatives, planners, vendors, and other event professionals Working closely with the Rouge culinary and operations teams to ensure a seamless event Handling onsite issues and making quick, professional decisions when unexpected situations arise Conducting occasional event walkthroughs and assisting with light event planning and preparation Helping review event details and logistics prior to execution Maintaining Rouge's standards for food quality, presentation, hospitality, and professionalism Schedule & Availability This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, consisting of a combination of weekday and weekend events. Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability is particularly important , as many of our largest events take place on weekends. The number of shifts will vary based on the event calendar and your availability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for high-paying, flexible work without committing to a traditional full-time schedule. Compensation $320-$480 per event shift , depending on the duration of the event. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience in catering, restaurants, hospitality, event management, or fine dining Is comfortable leading a team and taking charge in a fast-paced environment Has excellent communication and customer-service skills Is professional, polished, and comfortable interacting with high-end clients and event professionals Is extremely organized and detail-oriented Can remain calm and make good decisions under pressure Understands the importance of timing, presentation, service, and hospitality Takes ownership and doesn't need to be micromanaged Has a flexible schedule and is willing to work evenings and weekends, particularly Saturdays This is not a traditional server or banquet captain position. We are looking for someone who can step into an event, take ownership of the operation, lead the team, and ensure that the event is executed at the highest level.
