Distillery Off-site Event Staff

Job Description

Tenth Ward Distilling Co. is seeking a part-time staff member to pour samples and sell bottles and ready-to-drink canned cocktails at farmers markets, whiskey festivals, and other social events in/around Maryland. Shifts are primarily Saturday and Sunday mornings, but may include some weekdays and evenings depending on availability and market/festival schedules. Potential candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 events per month, have their own car that they can use for transporting booth display materials (tent, table, linens, etc.) and products, be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be reliable to work early mornings on weekends.
Pay/benefits :
$15/hr plus tips, company benefits, quarterly bonuses, discounts
Duties:
Loading/unloading cases and other materials needed for the market such as table, tent, etc, set up/break down. Arrive at markets and festivals in a timely manner, setting up an attractive display Greet customers with great service and encourage sales and club sign-ups
Sales :
Make bottle & canned cocktail sales to achieve sales targets for bonuses.
Customer Service :
Interact with customers, answer questions, represent the brand well. Emulate our slogan "Ward Off Ordinary"
Qualifications:
1 year or sales or customer service experience. On-the-job training will be provided. Experience working in the alcohol industry is a plus but not required. Proficient in basic interpersonal relationships and communication. Ability to be a team player, understanding, and flexible with a willingness to learn. Attention to detail supporting product quality controls and brand standard Work environment: Candidate must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 shifts per month, to lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis, have a car that can carry all necessary materials to/from the event (sedan or larger), and be comfortable working in weather of all seasons. Must be at least 21 years of age.
