Join the team behind some of Central Maine's most dynamic events — weddings, corporate functions, and community gatherings — with Maine Pine Catering. We're actively hiring per diem event staff who enjoy working evenings, staying active, and being part of the behind-the-scenes team that brings events to life. Perfect for night owls, second jobs, students, or anyone looking for flexible evening work.
Typical shifts:
6:00 PM

  • ideal if you like staying active (not sitting at a desk) What You'll Be Doing (Primary Focus) This role is heavily focused on the setup, breakdown, and operational support of events, including:
  • Setting up event spaces based on floorplans (tables, chairs, linens, bars, buffet lines)
  • Loading/unloading equipment, supplies, and décor
  • Driving company vans and assisting with transport to off-site events (if eligible)
  • Supporting food and beverage setup as directed by event leads
  • Clearing tables, managing trash, and assisting with full breakdown after events
  • Dishwashing and deep cleaning of kitchen and event spaces
  • Resetting spaces quickly and efficiently for the next use You may also assist with service, bar support, or guest interaction depending on the event — but the core of the role is operational execution and cleanup. What We're Looking For
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or with a team
  • Comfortable with physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods)
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow direction and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work evenings, late nights, and occasional weekends Bonus if you have:
  • Experience with events, catering, or restaurant work
