Venue Event Manager - Fire House KC Opening and/or Closing Shift Overview We're seeking a dependable, client-facing Venue Event Manager to help deliver a seamless, welcoming experience on event day. This role brings the event file to life by making sure the venue is set according to plan, providing attentive hospitality, and keeping the space looking its best. Depending on the event, you may be scheduled for an opening or closing shift. Evening and weekend availability is required. Responsibilities Opening shift Review the event file and set the venue according to the approved layout and details. Check furniture placement, linens, restrooms, and overall presentation before guests arrive. Welcome clients and vendors, answer venue-related questions, and help everyone feel cared for. Complete a final walkthrough and address any setup or cleanliness needs. Closing shift Provide warm, attentive hospitality to clients and guests throughout the event. Respond to on-site venue needs and communicate any concerns promptly. Assist with breakdown, cleaning, and returning furniture and venue items to their designated locations. Complete a closing walkthrough, note any maintenance or damage concerns, and secure the venue. Qualifications Experience in events, hospitality, venues, or customer service is preferred. Friendly, professional, and confident communicating with clients, guests, and vendors. Reliable, organized, and attentive to details. Comfortable following an event file and ensuring the setup is carried out accurately. Willing to pitch in with cleaning, moving furniture, and other hands-on venue tasks. Able to be on your feet for extended periods and lift or move venue items as needed, with minimal breaks. This position is scheduled around events, with opening or closing shifts assigned based on venue needs. Shift numbers vary per season.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 12.0 per week
