Works closely with members to organize catering details, including room setup, food and beverage selections, décor, and event logistics. Develops Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and oversees all administrative and operational aspects of event preparation and service to ensure exceptional member experiences. Collaborates with all Club departments to coordinate event activities and support daily Food & Beverage operations. Supports food and beverage service staff, ensures adherence to Club standards, assists with catering functions, and manages operations in the absence of other management team members. Maintains expertise in food and beverage service, dining etiquette, and Club procedures while addressing member concerns and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, detail and deadline oriented Required to be a team player and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment while maintaining member focus at all times Able to present a professional demeanor to members and their guests Variations in work schedule may be needed at times. Most weekends and holidays required Maintain needed computer skills required to handle workload including Microsoft Office Suite and Jonas Club Management software Develop excellent time-management skills, with strong independent follow through Strive for high service standards due to daily and frequent interaction with members and their guests Use judgment and be physically able to stand, sit, stoop, bend and lift more than 25 lbs. as needed Maintain continuing education and networking to gain more experience in private/club operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Banquet Manager in leading weekly BEO meetings to ensure proper communication and planning for upcoming events Adhere to all the various written mandatory standard of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc. Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner, providing members with prompt and accurate information Meet with members and guests to coordinate details of their event including room booking, room setup, food and beverage, and décor Coordinate set-up of banquet rooms with members. Review all details prior to function with Banquet Manager Provide scheduled tours or tastings as needed to support member planning Maintain performance standards for food service and ensure compliance with policies and operating procedures for the Food and Beverage Department Communicate with respective departments for event execution, including Fitness, Golf, Tennis, and Restaurant Critique functions alongside Banquet Manager to determine future needs and to implement necessary changes for increased quality Work with the Chef to determine selling prices, create menus and finalize other details for catered events Collaborate with Membership and Marketing Manager to coordinate execution of club-hosted events Interact with outside vendors hired by members while balancing both the interests of the individual member with the interests of the Club and Membership Collaborate with culinary team to develop yearly and seasonal catering menus Coordinate annual Snowflake Ball, managing communication with members, Snowflake Coordinator, room rentals, catering, and outside vendors Manages Wine Club registration, assisting members and Food and Beverage Manager with check-in Communicate with culinary team on dietary restrictions for all events, creating accurate buffet cards or specialty menus Develop and/or update event policies to align with club standards and member expectations, with support from House Committee Assist Banquet Manager in submitting all event documentation, including BEO closeouts and billing information, to the Accounting department Maintains Signera Display, ensuring accuracy on the event calendar, promotional materials, wedding screen, etc. Assist Banquet Manager with other tasks as assigned
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
