Our team is dedicated to providing top-tier service, seamless event execution, and memorable moments for our guests. We are currently seeking Event Captains to join our team. This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time hours , ideal for hospitality professionals with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for event execution. What You'll Do:
Oversee the day-of execution for full-service catered events, ensuring smooth operation and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the Event Sales and Culinary teams to prepare for events, following all instructions, including menus, set-up lists, BEOs, contracts, and room diagrams . Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and venue staff on event days. Lead pre-shift meetings with event staff to ensure clear communication of event details and service expectations. Supervise service staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff , ensuring professionalism and adherence to hospitality standards. Manage the timing of services, speeches, meals, and entertainment to maintain a seamless event flow. Proactively handle last-minute adjustments , troubleshoot issues, and ensure client satisfaction. Conduct post-event wrap-ups , including staff debriefs, service reports, and sidework assignments. Ensure venue cleanliness, organization, and proper closure of events. Maintain adherence to safety, sanitation, and security protocols .What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in staff management within a hospitality, catering, or events setting. Experience with venue-based or off-premises catering is a plus. Strong understanding of event setups, catering procedures, and guest service expectations . Knowledge of food, beverage, and event logistics (including wine, beer, and spirits). Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a professional and service-driven atmosphere. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances in real time . Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts during an event.Technical skills:
Microsoft Office, Toast POS, Tripleseat, and Canva preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Certifications (Preferred but not required):SMART Certification Food Safety & Sanitation Certification Why You'll Love It Here:
