Job Description

Overview Big Sky Resort is looking for an organized, energetic, and adaptable Event Coordinator to join our Events team! This role supports an exciting year-round calendar including on-mountain events and races, partner activations, live music, après programming, and resort-wide experiences. Working closely with the Events Team as well as a variety of departments across the resort, this hands-on role supports events from planning through on-site execution. We're looking for someone who loves the details, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is just as comfortable behind a spreadsheet as they are setting up an event or solving a problem on the fly. Responsibilities Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events and programming across Big Sky Resort. Assist with event timelines, run-of-shows, function sheets, site plans, and other planning documents. Support event setup, execution, breakdown, and load-in/load-out. Assist with partner, vendor, talent, and third-party event logistics. Coordinate with departments across the resort to communicate event needs and timelines. Maintain event calendars, trackers, files, invoices, and other planning materials. Assist with event assets, shipping and receiving, inventory, and post-event recaps. Other duties as assigned to support the Events team. Qualifications 1- 3 years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, marketing, or related field preferred. Ski Resort experience preferred. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaborator who is willing to jump in wherever needed. Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar. Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, and move event equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution.
