Senior Minister About Center for Spiritual Living Asheville The Center for Spiritual Living Asheville is an open, welcoming, and inclusive spiritual community dedicated to personal transformation, mindfulness, and service. We seek a grounded, detail-driven, and skilled Administrator who leads with high consciousness, deep commitment, clear communication, and supervisory strength to oversee our administrative backbone, facility systems, and community operations. Position Overview Working directly with the Senior Minister and supervising the Office Coordinator and Bookkeeper, this in-person position manages day-to-day administration, financial processing, event operations, volunteer systems, and facility upkeep. You will serve as the central operational hub—connecting leadership, volunteers, and community members with warmth, efficiency, and clarity. Key Responsibilities 1.

General Administration, Communications & Media Calendars & Communications:

Manage the Center's calendar, general email inbox, and staff meeting agendas; send timely reminders to leadership and teams.

Sunday Celebration Preparation:

Update, print, and email the Order of Celebration ; ensure the weekly PowerPoint is complete. 2. Financial Management & Donor Records (Breeze/Tithely, QuickBooks, PayPal/Venmo)

Deposits & Banking:

Process weekly deposits, manage the deposit workflow (training, scheduling, questions), and act as liaison to the bank, IRS, contractors, and vendors. Database & Record Keeping (Breeze/Tithely): Ensure donations are recorded and manage pledge/commitment records.

Financial Communications:

Generate and distribute quarterly and end-of-year donor contribution letters; process class registration fees; manage PayPal and Venmo accounts; 3.

Facility, Maintenance & Security Operations Center Care & Improvements:

Oversee environmental controls. organize space before and after events, clean key areas, and order/purchase center supplies (some or all of these activities may be supported with staff and/or volunteer assistance).

Security & Compliance:

Manage alarm codes, key distribution; maintain Board files; complete the monthly Safety Log. 4.

Event Coordination, Programs & Community Liaison Event Logistics:

Manage event agreements (creation, tracking, fees) and manage space utilization requests.

Flyers & Content Creation:

Design event flyers, coordinate with social media team, and prepare weekly E-News content with volunteers.

Guest & Volunteer Coordination:

Serve as liaison to guest speakers, musicians, delegates, and circle leaders; organize volunteers for maintenance, Sunday tasks, and other activities.

Procedure Documentation:

Continuously refine, document, and update administrative standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Requirements Leadership & Consciousness:

High level of spiritual maturity, conscious presence, self-accountability, and a deep commitment to an inclusive spiritual community.

Supervisory Experience:

Proven track record in directing projects, coordinating staff/volunteers, and managing facility operations.

Clear Communication:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ethics & Integrity Focus :

Unwavering commitment to high ethical standards, professional discretion, and total confidentiality across all internal and external interactions.

Adaptability & Interpersonal Skills :

Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of engaging comfortably with individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, personalities, and working styles.

Technical & Software Proficiency:
Required:

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and QuickBooks.

Technical & Software Proficiency:
Preferred:

Direct experience with Canva, Google Workspace, Zoom, Breeze CHMS/Tithely, and AI systems such as Gemini/Chat GPT.

Financial Acumen:

Confidence in handling cash deposits, reconciliations, payment platforms (PayPal/Venmo), and donor tracking software.

Physical & On-Site Capabilities:

Ability to work in person in Asheville, NC, including minor physical setup/breakdown tasks, facility walk-throughs, and off-site bank/shopping runs.
