Green Man Brewery is approaching its 30th anniversary, and our taprooms remain the heart of our connection to Asheville. We're looking for a Taproom Manager who can lead with hospitality, uphold our brand standards, and create a welcoming, energized environment for guests and staff alike. The Taproom Manager oversees daily taproom operations, staff leadership, guest experience, and the execution of Green Man's service standards across both locations. This role requires a balance of operational discipline, people‑first leadership, and a passion for craft beer.

Key Responsibilities:

Taproom Operations Oversee daily operations of both Green Man taprooms, ensuring smooth, efficient, and consistent service. Maintain taproom cleanliness, organization, and atmosphere in alignment with Green Man brand standards. Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting. Coordinate with Brewing and Packaging teams to ensure accurate draft lists, inventory levels, and product freshness. Ensure compliance with ABC regulations, safety standards, and internal SOPs. Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and mentor taproom staff, including bartenders, leads, and support roles. Build a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance culture aligned with Green Man values. Create weekly schedules, manage shift coverage, and oversee labor efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives warm, knowledgeable, and consistent service. Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and hospitality. Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak hours. Uphold Green Man's reputation as a welcoming, community‑driven brewery. Events & Programming Collaborate with leadership on taproom events, releases, and community partnerships. Support execution of special events, including beer releases, festivals, and private gatherings. Coordinate with Marketing on promotions, social content needs, and event visibility. Inventory & Financial Management Oversee taproom inventory, including beer, merchandise, and supplies. Track sales trends and provide weekly and monthly performance reports. Manage vendor relationships for taproom supplies and merchandise restocking. Qualifications 2+ years of hospitality or taproom management experience (brewery experience preferred). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. Knowledge of craft beer styles, draft systems, and service standards. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods. Passion for craft beer and the culture of independent breweries. $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
