Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Assistant Events Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events to ensure they meet organizational objectives and client expectations. This role involves working closely with the Events Manager and other team members to deliver successful events that enhance the company's reputation and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of event plans and strategies. - Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure seamless event operations.- Supervise and assist events staff during functions to ensure guest satisfaction and that clients specifications are met. Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and transportation arrangements. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and maximize attendance. Monitor event budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are executed as planned. Handle inquiries and provide excellent customer service to event attendees. Evaluate event outcomes and prepare reports for management review. Support the Events Manager in identifying opportunities for event improvement and innovation. This Job Description is an overview of daily responsibilities you are required to perform. Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or management, preferably within a corporate or hospitality setting. Proven track record of managing events from conception through to execution, including budgeting and logistics. Experience in coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event operations.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and external partners. Creative problem-solving abilities to address challenges and adapt to changing circumstances during event planning and execution. Proficiency in event management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events that meet client expectations.
