Event Staff Crew Member LWood Media Group Fayetteville, NC Job Details Contract $10 - $13 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Event customer service Full Job Description Riverwood Events is seeking energetic, reliable, and hard-working Event Staff Crew Members for our upcoming season. As a key member of our frontline team, you will ensure our festivals and events run smoothly, safely, and efficiently from start to finish. This multifaceted role combines guest services, operational support, and hands-on site setup and breakdown to create memorable experiences for all festival visitors.
Key Responsibilities Event Logistics & Site Operations Setup & Breakdown:
Assist with the assembly, placement, and dismantle of festival infrastructure, including tents, tables, chairs, staging elements, signage, barricades, and decor.
Facilities Maintenance:
Perform routine site maintenance during and after events, keeping venue grounds clean, organized, and free of litter or safety hazards.
Equipment & Inventory:
Help load, unload, organize, and account for festival tools, supplies, and rental equipment.
Guest Services & Operations Support Admissions & Guest Engagement:
Greet attendees, check tickets, wristband guests, hand out event maps/schedules, and answer general questions about the venue and show times.
Crowd Control & Flow:
Assist with directing foot traffic, managing lines at entrances, stages, and activity areas, and ensuring general guest safety.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with event leadership, security, vendors, and the entertainment crew to respond swiftly to site operational needs or unexpected challenges.
Required Qualifications & Skills Customer Service Focus:
Friendly, approachable attitude with strong communication skills and a desire to help guests.
Physical Capability:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs over extended periods, often outdoors in various weather conditions.
Reliability & Punctuality:
Strong work ethic with dependable attendance, especially on high-volume event days.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to follow instructions carefully and adapt quickly in a fast-paced event environment.
Availability:
Flexible schedule, including required availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the festival season. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in event execution, hospitality, venue management, or customer service. CPR/First Aid certification or basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
Pay:
$10.00 - $13.00 per hour
