Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking an External Events Specialist to join our Event Logistics Team in North Wilkesboro, NC . This individual represents North American Disaster Relief (NADR) at external events, engaging and promoting the program on a local, regional, and national level. The role also supports the planning and execution of the major event, Sharing Hope in Jesus Name, and supports the other internal events, including volunteer training and staff engagement. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of External Events Specialist , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Collaborate within the department to identify engagement opportunities that would promote awareness of the NADR program. Lead the coordination and scheduling of external events by preparing materials, coordinating staffing and logistics and work with the Samaritan's Purse Communications Department to coordinate as needed. Support the coordination and implementation of Sharing Hope in Jesus' Name event, including any administrative duties as assigned such as registration, data entry, email correspondence, material creation and fulfillment, etc. Assist the Event Logistics Manager in quality assurance by monitoring expenses, cultivating vendor relationships, and reviewing promotional materials as needed. Support the coordination of internal training, which can include administrative duties such as scheduling facilities, coordinating with Food Services and Security, and material creation and fulfillment. Assist in ensuring inventory for the Event Logistics team is maintained and that there is a consistent supply of materials available for events and training. Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified in the job description. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve (12) credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred. Proven self-starter with demonstrated initiative. Ability to write and compile monthly reports and business correspondence Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public Working knowledge of computer applications, including word processing, excel spreadsheets, and email software used for report preparation, data tracking, and communication Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
