About Us Yours Truly, Decor is a bespoke event design company based in New Jersey, specializing in elevated, thoughtful designs for engagement proposals, weddings, luxury picnics, and celebrations. Overview We are seeking one (1) Events Manager to join our team at Yours Truly, Decor. As our Events Manager, you are the operational backbone of every experience we create. You take full ownership of the preparation and execution of events —ensuring every detail is anticipated, all supplies are accounted for, and every team member is set up to execute flawlessly. You are someone who notices what others miss, solves problems before they arise, and takes initiative without needing to be asked. You thrive in a creative and client-facing environment and take pride in bringing structure and excellence to moving parts. If you're highly organized, naturally proactive, and care deeply about delivering exceptional client experiences—this role is for you. In addition to your management role, you will work with our team to execute events on site when needed, majority of which are scheduled on the weekends. Many take place outdoors at parks, beaches, residential areas, and private venues.
Your Mission:
To own the preparation, logistics, and coordination of all events—ensuring each one is executed seamlessly, efficiently, and at the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Ownership & Preparation Review event contracts and translate them into clear, actionable plans Manage detailed preparation timelines Ensure all event elements are prepared, packed, and ready ahead of time Anticipate potential challenges and proactively solve them before event day Team Leadership & Accountability Delegate tasks clearly to assistants and hold them accountable for completion Ensure all team members are aligned, prepared, and set up for success Maintain a high standard of performance and attention to detail across the team Inventory & Operations Management Maintain a highly organized and accurate inventory system Track usage, identify shortages early, and restock proactively Oversee quality control of all items (cleanliness, condition, readiness) Manage laundry, dishware, and prep cycles to ensure event readiness at all times Vendor & Logistics Coordination Communicate and coordinate with vendors (photographers, venues, freelancers, etc.) Coordinate delivery, pickup, and timing logistics Place and manage orders (including florals and specialty items) Ensure all external partners are aligned with event expectations Client Experience & Communication Manage client communication post-booking to coordinate event details Ensure all updates are reflected accurately in internal systems Gather and organize all necessary event information for execution Support a seamless, high-touch client experience Systems & Organization Create clear event briefs and packing lists for team for each event Continuously improve systems, workflows, and efficiency Event Execution Assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site installations when needed Transport, unload, and load equipment for events Manage on-site installations Clean up after events Travel to and from event locations Take photos and videos of designs for social media content Qualifications 2+ years of experience in event coordination, operations, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced, detail-driven environment Proven ability to manage multiple moving parts, timelines, and priorities Strong organizational skills with a systems-oriented mindset Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience (delegating, overseeing, and holding others accountable) Excellent communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and quality control Ability to think ahead, problem-solve quickly, and make decisions with confidence Experience working with vendors, managing logistics, or coordinating external partners Comfortable working with spreadsheets, checklists, and digital tools to manage events and inventory Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment Flexible availability, including weekends, based on event schedules Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel (SUV or hatchback preferred) How to Apply Please email your resume to yourstrulydecornj@gmail.com by May 4, 2026. $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
