Cutmaster Music is looking for dependable, energetic people to join our team as DJ Assistants . You do not need to be a DJ. You do not need professional event experience. And you do not need to own any DJ equipment. We're looking for people with a great attitude who love music, aren't afraid to work, and think spending a Saturday helping create an incredible wedding or event sounds a lot better than a typical part-time job.WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll work alongside one of our Lead DJs at weddings, corporate events, parties and other events throughout Albuquerque and New Mexico.Your responsibilities may include:
Helping load DJ, audio and lighting equipment Setting up sound systems, lighting and DJ equipment Assisting the Lead DJ throughout the event Taking guest song requests and communicating them to the DJ Acting as a runner when the DJ or event needs something Helping operate lighting and other production elements Keeping the DJ area and equipment organized Breaking down equipment at the end of the event Loading and unloading gear before and after events This is a hands-on job . There will be speakers, cables, equipment cases, late nights and some long Saturdays. You should be comfortable being on your feet and able to lift approximately 50 lbs. But once the setup is finished, you also get to spend your night helping us create some pretty incredible parties.NO DJ EXPERIENCE?

DJ Assistant doesn't have to be the end of the road. As you gain experience, you may have opportunities to learn more advanced skills including: Operating and programming event lighting Managing audio and production equipment Running music while the Lead DJ is away from the booth or emceeing Learning event production and DJ workflows Training toward becoming a Cutmaster Music DJ if that's a path you're interested in You don't have to want to become a DJ to work here. But if you do, this is a pretty great place to start.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
At least 18 years old Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Regular Saturday/weekend availability Comfortable working afternoons, evenings and late nights Able to lift approximately 50 lbs Dependable and punctual Professional appearance and ability to dress appropriately for weddings and upscale events Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests and clients Willing to learn and take direction Able to work as part of a team You may sometimes report directly to an event venue and other times report to our Albuquerque office before traveling with the LeadDJ. PAY & SCHEDULE
Pay:
$20/hour This is a part-time, event-based position. Most of our events take place on Saturdays, with occasional Friday, Sunday and weekday opportunities. Hours vary based on our event schedule.ABOUT CUTMASTER MUSIC
