We are seeking a strategic, collaborative Events Manager to join our team, partner closely with cross-functional leaders, and drive high-impact event experiences across the Las Vegas market.
The Role:
Working in close partnership with the Event Director, the Events Manager collaborates across departments to guide GMG's event portfolio from vision through execution. This role acts as a key strategic partner to sales, editorial, creative, and digital teams, co-developing annual strategies, managing budgets, designing sponsorship opportunities, and building relationships with venue and community partners. What You'll Do at
GMG:
1. Strategy, Revenue and Sponsorships
- Align event calendars with GMG's brand, audience, and revenue goals.
- Partner with sales to develop sponsorship packages, pricing, and client proposals.
- Build lasting sponsor, client, and community relationships while fulfilling contracts and post-event recaps.
- Work with creative and editorial teams to research trends and develop engaging events. 2. Event Operations and Execution
- Develop production schedules, timelines, and milestones with department stakeholders.
- Coordinate staff and vendors across setup, registration, production, catering, VIP service, and breakdown.
- Ensure events meet venue, permit, liquor, insurance, and safety requirements. 3. Budgets and Vendor Partnerships
- Track event budgets with the Event Director and finance team to allocate resources efficiently.
- Build Southern Nevada vendor relationships and negotiate favorable contracts. Support event staff, contractors, and volunteers during live events. 4. Marketing and Team Development
- Build event promotions with sales, editorial, creative, digital, and marketing teams.
- Lead attendee engagement across email, advertising, social media, and on-site channels.
- Mentor the Event Sales Coordinators and support their growth.
- Use registration, feedback, and engagement data to guide post-event improvements.
What You'll Bring to
GMG:
Required:
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in event planning, event production, marketing, or hospitality, with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated success managing event milestones collaboratively from initial ideation to post-event wrap-up.
- Experience working with sales teams on sponsorship opportunities, co-managing event budgets, and building external partner relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to work productively across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM or event management tools preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as event schedules require.
Must be 21+ years of age with reliable local transportation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Communications,
- Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in publishing, media, advertising, or entertainment environments.
- Established working relationships with Las Vegas venues, hospitality groups, suppliers, and community organizations.

- Build strong relationships and achieve high satisfaction among clients, sponsors, attendees, and vendor partners.
