Cleveland Heights, OH Job Details Part-time From $18.20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid parental leave Paid holidays Paid time off Parental leave Qualifications Project coordination Full Job Description The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library (Heights Libraries) is seeking a highly organized and community-focused Events Coordinator to support the activation and programming of Coventry PEACE Park and other library green spaces. This part-time position works closely with the Strategic Projects Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement engaging outdoor events and initiatives that position the park as a vibrant and inclusive extension of the library. The Events Coordinator plays a key role in fostering community connections through programming, partnerships, and stewardship of the space. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and coordinating outdoor events, including live performances, educational programs, and community gatherings Provide on-site event support, including setup, facilitation, and breakdown Build and maintain relationships with community partners such as artists, local businesses, and organizations Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized park environment and communicate maintenance needs in a timely manner Support volunteer coordination and engagement efforts Gather feedback and participation data to inform future programming and improvements Assist with outreach efforts to ensure diverse and inclusive community participation Contribute to off-season planning, including strategy development and event planning for the upcoming year Collaborate with library staff on cross-functional programs and events Manage the park bulletin board, including event postings and community information Coordinate and manage pavilion reservation requestsQualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, event management, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field preferredExperience:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in event coordination, community engagement, or administrative support Experience in public libraries, nonprofits, or community-based organizations is a plusSkills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail Experience coordinating events and managing logistics Ability to manage budgets or track program expenses is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated customer service mindset and ability to engage with diverse communities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines Work Environment and Schedule Based primarily at the Lee Road Branch, with regular work at Coventry PEACE Park for events and programming Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed for eventsBenefits:
