Events Manager Truth For Life Position Overview Mission:
The Events Manager for Truth For Life is the primary person responsible for planning, promoting and executing in person and virtual events on behalf of Truth For Life. This role will be pivotal in orchestrating both internal and external events that align with our mission to see unbelievers converted, believers established in their faith, and local churches and pastors strengthened. Creating impactful and meaningful events will foster spiritual growth, community engagement, and the spread of the Gospel. Organizing conferences, workshops, trips, fundraising and evangelistic outreach programs will cultivate an environment where faith is deepened, relationships are built, and the love of Christ is shared with all. This is a collaborative role, coordinating with internal Content department staff to plan teaching and thematic choices, and with Stations, Communications and Digital to coordinate promotional and branding aspects. TFL's in house Customer Service team will assist with registration facilitation and attendee service.Qualifications:
The Events Manager should have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5+ years of experience with event planning. Alignment with Truth For Life statement of faith and passion for ministry is essential.Organizational Structure:
Reports to the Executive Director and collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to drive projects and facilitate internal and external events.Working Conditions:
Standard 40-hour workweek. Annually, 10 holidays, 2 vacation weeks (3 after 5 years of service, 4 after 10 years) and up to 80 hours sick time that accumulates up to 13 weeks if unused. Primarily in an office environment with an ability to work virtually. If circumstances require, will be expected to travel or work on a weekend or an evening if necessary (estimated 10% of time would involve travel).Principal Responsibilities Event Management:
Supervise events to ensure seamless execution and promptly address any issues that arise. Recruit, organize, and oversee volunteers, managing sign-ups, task assignments, communication, and training. Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring alignment with ministry goals. This includes negotiating contracts with venues, conducting site visits, estimating budgets, coordinating food and lodging, managing travel logistics for staff and speakers, and leading internal meetings to achieve desired outcomes. Maintain and manage vendor relationships, ensuring contracts meet expectations and remain within budget. Lead or participate in post-event debrief meetings, gathering feedback to enhance future event experiences.Budgeting :
