We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Wedding Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with lead coordinators, vendors, and clients to ensure every aspect of the wedding runs smoothly from planning to execution. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and customer service expertise will help make each celebration truly extraordinary. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your event management skills in a vibrant hospitality environment. Hours are weekend only ranging from 10 to 12 hour days. Responsibilities Assist in coordinating all wedding-related activities, including venue setup, vendor communication, and timeline management Support the lead wedding coordinator in negotiating contracts with vendors such as caterers, florists, and entertainment providers Help manage event marketing efforts to promote wedding packages and services to prospective clients Contribute to upselling opportunities by suggesting additional services and enhancements to enhance client satisfaction and revenue Oversee guest services during the event, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and addressing any issues promptly Maintain detailed organizational records, including budgets, contracts, and guest lists Collaborate with catering teams and banquet staff to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to client specifications Requirements Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or restaurant/hotel operations is highly desirable, especially with banquet or catering experience Strong negotiation skills paired with excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with clients and vendors Knowledge of event marketing strategies and upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines Experience in customer service environments with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality standards Familiarity with budgeting processes, contracts, and vendor negotiations within the events industry Proven time management skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting Join us as an Assistant Wedding Coordinator and be part of creating beautiful memories while honing your skills in event management and hospitality!
