0 Massillon, OH Job Details Part-time 2 days ago Qualifications Customer communication Newsletters (communication methods) Full Job Description The Massillon Woman's Club is seeking an organized, dependable, and personable Club Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our historic clubhouse and support the successful planning and execution of Club activities, private events, and community functions. This is a hands-on management position that combines administrative responsibilities, event coordination, hospitality, staff supervision, and property oversight. The ideal candidate is a confident and capable professional who enjoys working with people, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and well-run environment.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Staff & Daily Operations Supervise and coordinate Club staff, including scheduling and day-to-day assignments Support hiring, training, and performance management of staff as needed Maintain appropriate employee records and ensure staff procedures are followed Foster a professional, cooperative, and positive work environment Serve as a resource for staff and event committees and provide direction when needed Assist with kitchen, food service, and other operational needs as necessary Event & Facility Coordination Coordinate the Club calendar, including Club activities, meetings, special events, and private bookings Work closely with event hosts and committees to ensure events are organized and run smoothly Coordinate event details such as menus, seating, linens, decorations, printed materials, and audio/visual needs Manage reservations and attendance for Club events Coordinate staffing and event-day needs Meet with prospective clients and assist with planning private events held at the Club Help clients with event logistics, including menu selections, seating arrangements, linens, decorations, and facility guidelines Prepare and manage event agreements and related documentation Ensure appropriate staffing and support are available for private events Food Service & Hospitality Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding menus, food orders, supplies, and special event requirements Assist with food preparation, plating, serving, and other kitchen duties when needed Help ensure food service and hospitality standards are consistently maintained Monitor supplies and assist with ordering and inventory management Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate calendars, booking information, and financial records related to events Process and document event payments and deposits Coordinate regularly with Club leadership regarding operations, events, and activities Assist with the preparation of Club communications, newsletters, calendars, and other materials Collect and organize information needed for Club publications and annual materials Respond to inquiries from members, prospective clients, vendors, and the community in a timely and professional manner Property & Maintenance Help oversee the care and day-to-day operation of the Club's historic property Coordinate routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs, landscaping, snow removal, and other property services Work with contractors and service providers to coordinate scheduled work Maintain inventories, records, equipment information, and other property documentation Help identify maintenance or improvement needs and coordinate appropriate follow-up Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, attractive, and welcoming facility•Qualifications•The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in management, hospitality, food service, event coordination, or a related field Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills, including the highest level of diplomacy, tact, integrity, and confidentiality Excels in public and employee relations The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, members, and event clients Experience supervising or coordinating employees is preferred Experience with food service, event planning, or facility operations is preferred Working knowledge of basic accounting is preferred Familiarity with Google Workspace and Square is preferred Knowledge of kitchen, office, and general building equipment is preferred A professional demeanor and a welcoming, service-oriented attitude Willingness to assist when needed to support successful Club operations References upon request•Schedule•9am•3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (from September to June) 9am•12pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (from June to August) This is a part-time management position with a regular weekday schedule, supplemented by evenings and weekends based on Club activities and private events.

The schedule may vary seasonally and according to the Club's event calendar.
