Job Description

Primary Role:
To further the mission of Garrett Williamson by developing and strengthening donor and community relationships and special event opportunities, with the goal of increasing funds raised to support Garrett Williamson's commitment to providing quality programs to all families.
Essential Job Functions:
1)
Community Engagement and Relationship Building:
a. Manage, maintain and grow existing relationships with donors and other community partners b. Cultivate relationships with new community partners such as universities, businesses, and individuals in order to expand the donor base and encourage new donations c. Develop and employ engagement and retention strategies to strengthen existing and potential relationships with donors and other community partners, collaborating with Garrett Williamson department heads and other parties as appropriate d. Develop and lead individualized tours and other activities for community partners and potential donors. e. Represent Garrett Williamson in fairs, seminars, and networking opportunities in order to expand its community initiatives f. Identify and document key relationship management information for existing and potential donors and other community partners g. Manage donor acknowledgement letters and other relevant communications as appropriate h. Create and maintain positive business and working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, families, campers, vendors, donors and the community. 2)
Event Coordination:
a. Plan, organize, staff, execute and participate in Garrett Williamson events, including in-house and external community engagement initiatives as well as night and weekend events (such as Harvest Festival and similar events), coordinating logistics with Garrett Williamson department heads and/or other parties as necessary b. Regularly evaluate the success and utility of Garrett Williamson events, making recommendations and/or improvements thereto as appropriate to maximize their success and utility c. Create and maintain a working schedule of all development events d. Oversee the organization and cleanliness of event spaces e. Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers, ensuring that all necessary clearances and other information is properly documented 3)
Rentals Program Management:
a. Manage the rentals program, including scheduling, bookings and logistics for rental events b. Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training and scheduling of personnel for rental events c. Coordinate logistics for rental events with Garrett Williamson department heads and/or other parties as necessary d. Evaluate and recommend updates to rental program policies and procedures as appropriate e. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote the rentals program Other Job Duties Prepare for and participate in meetings of the Garrett Williamson Development Committee. Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Employee Relations to ensure the creation of donor-centric marketing materials, including social media posts, the Impact Report and Annual Appeal. Assist in researching, applying for, and reporting on grants. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of event management experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills required. Prior relationship management experience preferred. Prior experience using a CRM, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to listen to others, observe others' actions and take corrective actions when necessary; exercise discretion in decision-making; read text and information; comprehend instructions and manuals. It also requires the physical ability to move about the property in various environmental conditions and to attend in-house and external events.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
