Catering Sales & Events Coordinator — The Belt Full-time

• Hybrid

• $45,000 base salary + commission Potential total compensation: $52,000-$65,000, depending on sales performance The Belt is growing, and we're looking for an organized, motivated person to grow our catering business and coordinate our food truck events. With a new catering menu and room to grow, this is an opportunity to build customer relationships, win new business, and help shape the position from the ground up. The role Your two primary responsibilities are catering sales and food truck coordination, with occasional marketing and administrative support. Catering sales and customer relationships Generate business through face-to-face visits, personalized outreach, calls, emails, and consistent follow-up. Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and private event customers. Manage inquiries, quotes, bookings, and customer relationships from first contact through successful delivery. Coordinate orders with operations and arrange delivery when needed. Learn our menu and systems and help build an organized process for earning new and repeat business. Food truck scheduling and logistics Manage the event calendar and relationships with organizers. Find, evaluate, and secure worthwhile public events and private bookings. Track permits, documentation, deadlines, and logistics across multiple jurisdictions. Track event sales and labor and help identify the best opportunities for future bookings. Attend select food truck events to capture photos and video and support marketing. Coordination and administration Coordinate daily with the Director of Operations on priorities, bookings, and execution. Attend weekly on-site visits and meetings. Keep contacts, records, and follow-up tasks organized. Provide occasional social media and administrative support. Work arrangement This is a hybrid position combining remote work, weekly on-site visits and meetings, and regular local travel for personalized outreach and customer meetings. Some attendance at food truck events is required, including occasional evenings or weekends. Who will do well here Organized, dependable, and proactive about following through. Comfortable introducing yourself, building relationships, and asking for the business. Able to manage multiple customers, deadlines, and event details. Confident working independently while communicating closely with operations. Eager to learn the menu and systems and help build a growing business. Experience in catering, hospitality, event coordination, or outside sales is valuable. Initiative, sound judgment, and follow-through are essential. Compensation $45,000 annual base salary. Commission on all outside catering and private event sales. Potential total compensation of $52,000-$65,000, depending on sales performance; earnings are not guaranteed.
