Job Description
The Development & Event Coordinator position will be an integral part of the California Rifle and Pistol Association team. The position will support the Development Director in overall development campaigns, planning 18.00regional and local events for members and donors, securing in-kind donations for fundraising, and working with volunteers to coordinate amazing events. This position may require some odd work hours (including evening and weekends) leading up to an event and the ability to be flexible and creative while in the office and attending events. This position is a remote position, but the candidate must be located near the office in Santa Ana, CA.
Job Details:
- Planning and successful execution of all CRPA events including, but not limited to: award/fundraising banquets, local hunts with clubs, local and regional shooting events, fundraising dinners, games, prizes, fun themes, and engaging marketing of events, etc.
- Securing the locations and making contacts with venue staff, volunteers, speakers, special guests and coordinating all attendees.
- Maintain state-wide events calendar and answer member questions regarding upcoming events.
- Develop, with the Development Director and Communications Manager, all marketing and promotional materials for upcoming events. Including pre-events, during events, and post events.
- Track events and campaign postings for in-house items as well as for sponsor agreements across online platforms and work with communications to accomplish a strategy.
- Cultivate, maintain, and foster relationships with donors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and members.
- Places all event/ campaign information into the NEON system for complete tracking and reporting.
- Create pre-event budgets and post-event reports on attendance, fundraising, and successes.
- Set goals and objectives with the Development Director and Operations Director for making events profitable for the organization.
- Ability to interact with business partners, members, volunteers, club members, donors, and other CRPA staff in a professional manner and attend events as necessary to coordinate these entities.
- Develop innovative and online presence for fundraising for organizations while understanding state law parameters.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, while having an eye for detail. This is very important to the position. If after training you need to be told every step of the job, this is not for you.
- Coordinate and create all calendars for events for the year with Development Director. Planning out 6 months for what will be needed for upcoming campaigns and events.
- Must have expert ability to work in word, excel, and presentation software. If you do not have this skill, now is not the time to learn. You must have very good skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and developing social media campaigns. We will train you on NEON, but if you have experience with NEON that is a plus!
- Would like some graphic design experience, but do not need to be an expert. We just need someone with vision who can communicate that vision.
- This is a full-time position with a state-wide organization.
Job Type:
